TechBytes – The collaboration of  Openbytes and Techrights.org

So here we have our third show.  The first question you may have is why only one day after our second.  The reasoning is this, we are still finding our “audiocasting feet” and also of the opinion that by having an irregular release schedule (as often as time permits) we will always be covering the latest topics.  Speaking as an avid listener of many other audiocasts Ive found that time does not often permit me to listen to them as they are released, this means that by the time I get around to listening, Ive been reading about the topics covered for some time.

I hope if you didn’t catch episode 2 you will download this one.  We are taking on board the issue of structure and looking at future shows being more direct.  These shows are not scripted and we have no idea the direction in which they may take.

This show talks about app stores – control over accepted applications, good or bad thing?  We mention Oracle, Canonical, gaming on the desktop – is it relevant?  An article from Phoronix is brought up reporting that NVIDIA is allegedly not supporting Wayland and I briefly talk about a game development software which may have answered my question from a previous show.  GameEditor can be found here and it will be subject of a more detailed article in the next few days.
