TechBytes Audiocast – Episode 41 – 24/04/11 – “Going Rusty”

Intro music: “I fought the troll” by Tom Smith.  You can find more of his work here.

Hosts: Tim (OpenBytes) Roy (Techrights) Gordon (ThistleWeb)

Guest: Rusty (TheShowThatSux)

We are pleased to announce a guest for todays show – Rusty, who hosted his own video show and has a Youtube channel here.   I was delighted that on very short notice he agreed to join us.

Today’s topics covered:

* Samsung v Apple.

* Patent aggression in general and the Android target.

* ACS:Law – The latest ruling by Judge Birss.

* Discussion around the Bittorrent protocol the UK and how the claims of government don’t really echo reality in terms of infrastructure.

Our mid-show track was Abyss of Hell by the band Nosphares (from the album Dark Desires) – a very un-Easter track, but very expected in light of my love of metal.

It is hoped that Rusty will be returning to Techbytes, so whilst myself Gordon and Roy say thanks, it hopefully won’t be goodbye.
