A few hours ago, version 9.04 of Ubuntu was named as Jaunty Jackalope.by Mark Shuttleworth.
The Jackalope is a combination of a Deer and Rabbit (obviously a mythical beast) More details to follow as they come in, however the release of Ubuntu 9.04 is hoped to have similarities to the traits of the fantasy creature.
